About the Kingdom Writer

Edward was born into a family of four in 1959 in Hardeeville, South Carolina. Edward can be best described a warm, caring, kind and considerate person.  He is a humble man of God who loves the Lord. Edward is the extremely proud father of two beautiful adult children Corey (34) and Michelle (32).  Edward served 6 years in the U.S. Army as a Medical Specialist. He received the Expert Field Medical Badge; the highest peacetime honor awarded a Medic. Edward is currently the Executive Director of the Lenoir-Greene Partnership for Children in Kinston, North Carolina. Over the past 30 years Edward has made helping and advocating on behalf of children, youth and families his life's mission.

Edward is a former Annie E. Casey Fellow. He has a B.A Degree in Psychology from Talladega College (1983) and a Masters in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University (1987). In 2002, Edward joined Second Arnold Missionary Baptist Church under the spiritual leadership of Pastor Richard L. Hall Sr. Over the last 18 years Edward has served the Body of Christ in various capacities such as Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, Brotherhood President, Usher, Budget Committee and Baptist Training Union Instructor.  As well Edward served as co-Superintendent of the Sunday School Ministry and Vice Chairperson of the Christian Education Ministry. Edward is a thorough and powerful teacher of God’s Word where he is a certified instructor in Second Arnold's Christian Leadership School, under the Deanship of Sis. Sandra B. Williams.

He is certified to teach several courses to include: Baptist Doctrine, Effective Bible Reading, the Art of Working with Black Youth, The Black Church and Social Justice, Introduction to the New Testament, Doctrine of the Holy Spirit, and Blacks in the Bible.

Between 1998 and 2013 Edward appeared as a weekly columnist for the Savannah Herald, a weekly, black owned newspaper. His thought provoking articles highlighted issues affecting the black community and the larger society. Edward is the founder and President of Kingdom Writer Ministries (formerly E. C. Consulting Services) where he helps emerging nonprofit organizations, churches, and faith-based entities obtain incorporation status and assist them in organizing and submitting the application for tax-exempted status (501 C 3) with the Federal Government. With over 30 years of experience and expertise, Edward provides extensive training in nonprofit development, strategic planning, grant writing, and fundraising strategies.
